The cross between a Paint Dark Brown stallion, whose coat the (To) gene acts on the base coat forming large, well-defined white patches across the body and legs. Many cases also inherit blue eyes. Dark brown coat, often nearly black, with black points, expressed over the bay base., and a Smoky Cream mare with coat very pale coat with yellowish highlights, resulting from double dilution of the cream gene over the black base., can produce 6 different coat colors: Paint Buckskin (30%), Buckskin (30%), Paint Smoky Black (14%), Smoky Black (14%), Paint Palomino (6%) and Palomino (6%). Results vary according to the genotype of each parent — use the filters above to explore specific combinations.
